Lock worked great for a Secretary desk. Smooth operation and 2 extra screws were included. Other review said the escutcheon nails were too long, and yes they are long but you can easily use a side cutting pliers to cut shorter and then file / sand a new point. Another review did not like the finish and it’s true, right out of the package they don’t look all that good but less than 5 minutes with a scotch brite pad and then a leather strop and they were nice and shiny. Good buy for the price. Would purchase again.

Bought this Lock for a Cedar Chest I made for my Granddaughter, Couldn't open it with the key! Cant call it a lock, if it don't lock! Junk!!!!
