Details
Use the WoodRiver® Dust Connection™ 1-1/4" ID to 2-1/4" OD Adapter to connect a smaller diameter hose to your common shop vacuum. Rugged ABS material is nominal 2-1/4" OD on one end to slide inside the suction port on most shop vacuums and nominal 1-1/4" I.D. on the other end to connect to small tool dust ports or other 1-1/4" OD fittings.

1-1/4" ID to 2-1/4" OD Adapter Dust Collection Fitting
This not-easy-to-find adaptor fits onto the 1-1/4" male-end suction hose on my 5-gallon shop vacuum and then fits inside the female sawdust discharge port on my table saw where I normally connect my 2.5" (male) large shop vacuum. It allows me the option of using a smaller vacuum in place of my 16-gallon Craftsman. Adaptors to reduce a 2.5" male vacuum hose so it can use 1-1/4" vacuum attachments are easy to find - this adaptor does the exact opposite so 2.5" floor nozzles, extension pipes, and blower nozzles can be used on many vacs.

This what you need to connect the dust port of your table saw to a (small bore) ShopVac hose (common for smaller ShopVacs). It's surprisingly hard to find this adapter. ID of DeWalt table saw exhaust is 2-1/4 (OD is 2-1/2 which makes buying adapters confusing) -- this part inserts nicely into the port and the hose inserts into the 1-1/4 end. For those of us without a fancy shop and dust collection system this is a lifesaver.
