You will learn the basics of putting wooden knife scales (handles) on a knife kit. Each student will learn to take a set of wood scales, rough shape them for a knife handle, attach them to the knife and finish shape the handle. Different methods of applying a finish will be discussed. A bandsaw, scroll saw, belt sander, disc sander, spindle sander and drill press may be used.
