Eric starts with an introduction to basic tool handling and safety, making the class accessible for those new to woodworking. More advanced carvers are encouraged to explore additional techniques and customize their spoons with intricate details. Under Eric’s guidance, participants will learn to efficiently shape their wooden blocks into custom spoons, with the Kutzall burrs offering control and creativity. The flexible nature of the Foredom tool makes it perfect for precise work as well as more expressive carving styles. By the end of the class, students of all levels will have gained new skills and carved their own unique spoon to take home.
