Spend a weekend with Woodcraft and leave with a traditional Adirondack chair. This course is designed for the intermediate level woodworker with some experience using both power and hand tools to cut, drill, sand and assemble this classic chair. Instructions, drawings, cypress wood and fasteners are included in the tuition.
Parent must accompany students under 18. This class is designed for those who are interested in beginning carving as a woodworking hobby. You will be introduced to a variety of basic carving knife profiles, how and when they are used, proper care and sharpening. You will also begin a carving project which can be independently completed with what you will have learned in class.
Minimum Age 18. This class is for those who wish to enhance their projects with professional looking dovetail joints. Students will use the Porter Cable 12" dovetail jig while making all four joints: through, half-blind, box and sliding. Jig set up and adjustment as well as when the different joints are applied will be thoroughly covered.
